Canadian Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem: Montreal or Toronto?

When, in March 2019, the Turing Prize was awarded jointly to Geoffrey Hinton, Yoshua Bengio and Yann LeCun, Canada entered by the front door on the forefront of artificial intelligence. Indeed, the first two laureates are Canadian and the third did his post-doctoral internship in Canada. In the United States, they were called the “Canadian mafia”. To find out more, listen to Jean-Guy Rens’ column dated January 27 on Radio VM.
