Should we be afraid of Huawei?

For most people, the name of the Chinese company Huawei has become familiar since the arrest of its vice president Meng Wanzhou in Vancouver in 2018 at the request of the American justice. For the telecommunications world, however, this was not an unknown enterprise, on the contrary. Founded in 1987, Huawei is the world’s leading telecommunications company. Last year, its sales amounted to 122 billion US dollars, up 18% despite US sanctions. To find out more, listen to Jean-Guy Rens’ column dated February 3 on Radio VM.
