The fight against the coronavirus between freedom and responsibility
A small group of countries have massively used artificial intelligence to prevent the coronavirus crisis before it breaks out – Taiwan, Singapore – or to stop it after it has erupted – China, South Korea. Meanwhile, in North America, we are approaching the pandemic with means inherited from the Middle Ages: quarantine, containment, closing borders. Have we ever heard of the use of artificial intelligence in the fight against the coronavirus in Canada? No. Never! Yet Canada is one of the pioneers of artificial intelligence.
